About Discrepancies In Education / Administrative Systems ....
PICKLE MANAGEMENT IN TECHNICAL EDUCATION
A clever employer
Once got
The brilliant idea
Of preparing
Pickle out of
The original documents
Of his employees.
Wow !!
What a variety
Of ingredients !!
And what prospects
Of domination !!
He planned
And implemented
“Collection” of
The ingredients
For verification
By affiliated organization,
And among confusions
And whispering apprehensions,
The piles of ingredients
Got stocked and stacked
For processing ….
And on goes
The making of
Continuously yielding
Delicious preparation –
Sorting, cutting, chopping ….
Of enthusiasm and motivation,
Of futures and careers ….
Adding suspense
For “discipline”,
Collecting helplessness
For performance ….
Such efforts !!
To serve
Intelligently groomed
Engineers and future technocrats
Fed with such
Deliciously prepared
Indigenous Pickle
To the progress of
A swiftly developing
Smart society.

- Based on real incident that took place in a Self-Financed / Private Engineering College. Retaining original documents of employees is a criminal offense by law. Such matters call for serious legal scrutiny.
- It is difficult to fight the widespread nexus of malpractices. Unfortunately, in India, legal procedures take too long a time.
- Some attempts were definitely made, which were stalled by manipulative practices usual to delaying and defying justice in the legal ecosystem, and the sick, greedy and insecure mindset of many a professionals / officials ….
- As those legal struggles were on, about four or five years down the lane, an incident of the suicide of a victim of such malpractices surfaced in North India, which led the central governing body of technical education to issue a notification stating that the approval / affiliation of all the institutions resorting to the practice of retaining original documents of employees will be terminated. And that brought an end to the plight of a huge number of employees in private technical education institutions, whose documents were in the custody of their employers ….
- The tragedy is that only after the life of an aspiring young professional in the field of education was sacrificed, the desired - legally, professionally and ethically correct change was effected.
- Not much is known about any actions having been taken against the owners of such institutions ….
- Many of those who chose to give up the job, not accepting such conditions, suffered financial and professional losses and problems, along with the emotional trauma they themselves and their families have to go through while not accepting the undue dominance of employers …. These are such traps which trouble either way - accepting the prison-like suffocating work atmosphere is frustrating, so one is forced into either a change of job or diversifying professional activities, which can be very challenging in a world of crazy competitions, amidst regular social and domestic responsibilities ….
